6U All-Stars finish third

Master of Education in
Elementary Education.
Jessica Watson of
Barnesville earned the
Doctor of Education in
Leadership.
The students were
among more than 1,100
students who completed
their degree require
ments during Spring
Semester 2021.

Appointed Special
Advocates) recently an
nounced that on July 14,
a new CASA volunteer,
Sabrina Gardner, was
sworn-in for the Towaliga
Judicial Circuit by Judge
Sharon Sullivan to serve
children in foster care.
CASA volunteers have
gone through extensive
training by the local
CASA agency to ensure
that they can fulfill the
requirement of a CASA
for the children of this
circuit. Volunteers
come from varying
backgrounds, but the
one thing they have in
common is their concern
for children in the foster
care system.

Trial week ends with
just two bench warrants
Last week was set aside for jury trials in Lamar
superior court before Judge Tommy Wilson. Jurors
were called in but no trials were held due to legal
moves. Two defendants were issued bench warrants.
Enrique Damon Montreal Carter, burglary; failed to
appear, bench warrant issued.
Relin Zebron Carter, burglary and suspended
license; failed to appear, bench warrant issued.

Star state tournament in which his team placed third.
