LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY
Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period July
7-13, 2021.
On July 7, Sgt. Bossie Davis worked a domestic
disturbance at a home at 412 Martin Dairy Road in
volving a man and his estranged wife who was staying
at the location. A criminal trespass notice was issued
to the husband instructing him to stay away from his
wife.
On July 7, Dep. Justyn Weaver was dispatched to
a home at 180 Liberty Hill St. in Milner regarding a
domestic dispute between Milner mayor Joseph Andy
Marlowe, 41, and his wife, Holly Booth. Commissioner
Nancy Thrash, Marlowe’s mother, met Weaver outside
and asked him to turn off the blue lights on his patrol
vehicle. Booth, who smelled of alcohol, said Marlowe
had been choking her. There were no signs of any
such incident and no evidence on Marlowe’s person.
Booth finally said the incident had occurred previ
ously. She said the current incident began when the
daughter began acting out. She said Marlowe picked
on her son. Marlowe agreed to leave the property.
Dep. Weaver informed Milner police chief Michael Bai
ley of the situation due to the incident being within
the city limits and the public figures involved.
On July 7, Dep. Weaver met with a man who said
the tag on his vehicle had come off at a car wash in
Griffin.
On July 9, just before 11 p.m., Dep. William Holt
was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident at the
corner of Cook and Lamar County Line roads. He
found an abandoned beige 2005 Ford Escape which
had gone through a fence and taken down SRE power
lines. The car, which was registered to Madison Wil
liams, was impounded.
On July 9, Sgt. Davis met with a woman who had
an altercation with a neighbor at Bedsole’s Trailer
Park over shooting fireworks. The woman said she
and her nephew were shooting fireworks when the
neighbor threatened her. She also said she thought
the man fired a shot but was not sure. The woman
was referred to magistrate court.
On July 10, Dep. Holt met with a man who found a
firearm in the middle of the road in Culloden. The gun
was a loaded silver and black Taurus .357. The firearm
was later turned over to Monroe County deputies.
On July 12, Sgt. Davis worked a domestic dispute
between a woman and her boyfriend at a home at
116 Liberty Bell Ln. The woman reported the male
had been drinking. He had left the scene when Davis
arrived.
On July 13, Dep. Anthony Redding worked a
