LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY
Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period Sept.
29-Oct 5, 2021.
On Sept. 29, Dep. Justyn Weaver was dispatched to
a home at 1202 Piedmont Rd. where the residents had
returned from a two month trip to find a bullet hole
in a window. Weaver found a bullet in a window sill.
Weaver canvassed the neighbors but no one would
admit to shooting in the direction of the house.
On Sept. 29, Dep. Destiny Valenzuela was dis
patched to Lot 13 at Bedsole’s Trailer Park off Trice
Road regarding a fight. A man reported he was cutting
grass when four males jumped him and took the key
to the mower. The victim was able to identify two of
the four attackers.
On Sept. 20, Sgt. Wayman Henson met with a man
who had an altercation with his brother because the
brother did a poor job installing tile in his home on
Brown Springs Road. The resident fired his brother
who then began sending threatening text messages
to the brother and his immediate family. The victim
was advised to take out a temporary protective order
against his brother.
On Sept. 30, Dep. Ashley Johnson met with a man
who said his neighbor threatened to kill him and his
dog if either came back in the neighbor’s yard. The
complainant said there is a stray dog that roams the
neighborhood at will and thinks the neighbor has
mistaken that dog for his.
On Oct. 1, Sgt. Bossie Davis was dispatched to a
home on Liz Acres Road regarding a missing 13-year-
old juvenile female. Multiple people were questioned
but the girl was not located and a lookout was issued
for her.
On Oct. 2, Dep. Weaver and Lt. Shane Moore were
dispatched to a home at 140 City Pond Road. The
response was triggered by a call to a crisis line. The
home was in disarray where a 40-year-old man had
allegedly tipped over dressers, broke multiple glass
es, a bed frame and a television set. He received a
warning for criminal damage to property. His mother
refused to press charges.
On Oct. 2, at 3:24 a.m. Sgt. Davis was dispatched to
Blue Rose Stables on Zebulon Road where a woman
heard things being broken in her residence and saw
a male identified as Matthew Butcher walking around
the yard with a shotgun. She later heard a single shot.
Davis and Dep. Valenzuela began to look for Butcher.
The woman said Butcher was mad because she had
left him asleep in a truck when they returned from a
night out. A thorough search failed to locate Butcher
but they did find the shotgun broken on the ground
along with several other damaged items.
On Oct. 2, Sgt. Davis was dispatched to a home
on Rock Springs Road where dogs were found in a
chicken coop. A woman at the home reported she
had photos of the offending dogs and that several
chickens had paid the ultimate price while defending
the henhouse. A report was filed.
On Oct. 3, Dep. Valenzuela was dispatched to a
home at 157 Liz Acres Rd. regarding another runaway
juvenile female. This one was nine years old. A look
out was issued. The girl was later located at Fuller’s
Trailer Park and returned to her mother.
