Christmas memory tree shines bright
Members of the
Barnesville and Lamar
County community came
together to help decorate
the giant memory/honor
tree downtown in time
for the annual Illumina
tion Celebration. Glen
Allen came up with an
idea to allow citizens to
donate bows in memory
or honor of loved ones as
decorations for the tree
and the city of Barnes
ville line and electric
crew brought out their
equipment to place the
bows all over the tree.
“This holiday season,
we hope to cherish the
memories of those that
meant so much to us,”
said Christopher De-
raney.
Deraney’s along with
Goggans Florist, helped
citizens to cover this
year’s Christmas tree
with large beautiful bows
of all colors in memory
(or in honor) of special
loved ones.
