NOTICE OF SEIZURE OF
PERSONAL PROPERTY
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. §
9-16-1 et. seq., any party
claiming an interest in the
following property is hereby
notified that the following
property was seized by
the undersigned agency
in Lamar County, Georgia:
TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND,
THREE HUNDRED, NINETY-
ONE DOLLARS ($24,391.00)
IN UNITED STATES CUR
RENCY.
Conduct giving such
rise to said seizure was as
follows: On December 2,
2021, Sgt. Brandon Goins of
the Lamar County Sheriff’s
Office conducted a traffic
stop of a vehicle driven by
Cesar Nunez on Interstate
75 in Lamar County, Geor
gia, for failing to maintain a
lane of traffic. Passengers
in the vehicle were Aguiar
Juan Gainza and Daniel
Velasquez. While speaking
with Nunez, Sgt. Goins could
smell the odor of marijuana
emanating from inside of
the vehicle. Sgt. Goins also
noticed Gainza attempting
to ingest what appeared to
be a plastic baggie contain
ing a controlled substance.
At that point, the occupants
were removed from the ve
hicle and detained. A search
of the vehicle then took
place. Sgt. Goins found a
large amount of currency in
a book bag in the rear seat.
The cash which was pack
aged in banded bundles
consistent with that used in
drug transactions. In a shoe
box was found an approxi
mate pound of suspected
marijuana. Nunez and Velas
quez also possessed large
bundles of currency on their
persons. The currency was
ultimately seized by Sgt.
Goins in Lamar County on
December 2, 2021. The total
amount of currency seized
was $24,391.00. The three
men were all charged with
the offense of Possession
of Marijuana with Intent to
Distribute. Gainza has an
extensive criminal history
involving drug charges.
Claimants who may have
an interest in said property
are CESAR NUNEZ, AGUIAR
JUAN GAINZA and DANIEL
VELASQUEZ. Said property
was used in violation of
O.C.G.A. § 9-16-1 et. seq.,
and 16-13-49 et. seq. in that
the item(s) was/were used
to facilitate the possession,

or of any State relating to
marijuana/controlled sub
stance which is punishable
by imprisonment of more
than one year, and or said
property was found in close
proximity to controlled sub
stances and/or marijuana.
You are further notified
that you may file a claim

ing law enforcement agency
and to the District Attorney

NOTICE OF SEIZURE OF
PERSONAL PROPERTY
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. §
9-16-1 et. seq., any party
claiming an interest in the
following property is hereby
notified that the following
property was seized by
the undersigned agency in
Lamar County, Georgia: SIX
THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($6,100.00) IN
UNITED STATES CURRENCY.
Conduct giving such rise
to said seizure was as fol
lows: A bench warrant was
issued for Jeremy Ennis on
November 2, 2021, for his
failure to appear in Lamar
County Superior Court on a
forgery charge. Lamar Coun
ty deputies were notified of
the bench warrant and were
looking for Mr. Ennis. On
November 11, 2021, at ap
proximately 1:30 am, Deputy
Blake Redding of the Lamar
County Sheriff’s Office saw
Mr. Ennis at the Reliable
Mart on Veteran’s Parkway
in Barnesville, Georgia, and
decided to follow Mr. Ennis’
vehicle. Mr. Ennis ran a stop
sign at Grove Street, so Dep.
Redding decided to initiate
a traffic stop, however, Mr.
Ennis drove back to the Reli
able Mart, exited the vehicle
and attempted to flee on
foot. He was subsequently
apprehended. Inside of
the vehicle, Dep. Redding
noticed a firearm on the
driver’s side floor board. A
probable cause search of
the vehicle then took place
and a hidden compartment
was located under the pas
senger side center console
which contained $6,100.00
in cash, a set of scales and
approximately 4 ounces
of methamphetamine. The
amount of cash, the scales
and the suspected metham
phetamine are all consistent
with instrumentalities used
in drug transactions. Mr.
Ennis was arrested and
charged with Trafficking
Methamphetamine and
Possession of a Firearm by
a Convicted Felon because
Mr. Ennis has a felony
conviction from Lamar
County from 2012. Mr. Ennis
also has a pending Traf
ficking Methamphetamine
charge from Upson County,
Georgia, which allegedly
took place on or about May
10, 2021. The cash was
ultimately seized by LCSO
deputies in Lamar County
on November 11, 2021.
Claimants who may have
an interest in said property
are Jeremy Marion Ennis.
Said property was used in
violation of O.C.G.A. § 9-16-1
et. seq., and 16-13-49 et. seq.
in that the item(s) was/were
used to facilitate the posses
