Mrs. Donna Jean
Sandefur Shockley
Mrs. Donna Jean Sandefur Shockley, age 72, of
Jonesboro, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April
25, 2022, at Piedmont Henry Hospital.
Mrs. Shockley was born on Thursday, May 19,
1949, to the late Harold Sandefur and Martha Coven
try. Donna enjoyed being at
home; she was known as a
homebody. She was preceded
in death by her father, Harold
Sandefur; brother, Pat Sand
efur, and brother-in-law, Don
Buchanan.
Donna is survived by her
loving husband of 54 years,
Samuel Edward Shockley.
Jr.; son and daughter-in-law,
Brian and Shannon Shockley;
mother, Martha Williams;
three sisters, Carolyn Selph and husband Alan, Susie
Sandefur, Shirley Buchanan; brothers, Mike Sandefur,
David Sandefur and wife Wendy; sister-in-law, Gloria
Sandefur. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Donna Jean Sandefur
Shockley were held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at
11:00 a.m. in Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Rever
end Garth Forster officiating. Friends visited with the
family from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral
home. Interment followed the service in Greenwood
Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Ruth
Jewett Sole
Mrs. Mary Ruth Jewett Sole, age 73, of Barnesville,
Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022,
at Upson Regional Medical
Center.
Mrs. Sole was born on
Thursday, Feb. 24, 1949, to
the late Ralph Jewett and the
late Mary Myers. She enjoyed
playing bingo; she has also
been a resident of Barnesville
since 1996.
Mary is survived by her
loving husband, James Sole;
children, Jonathan Wayne
Sole, Kimberly Kay English,
Christine Marie Pierce; six grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Jewett, Matthew
Jewett, Thomas Jewett; sisters, Susan “Sue” Jewett
and Diana Natcher.
A memorial service for Mrs. Mary Ruth Jewett
Sole was held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in
Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Pastor David Daw
son officiating.

Martin, Sr.
Mr. William Randall Martin, Sr, age 68 of Lagrange,
passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at West Georgia
Medical Center.
William was born in Miami, Florida on April 4,
1954. He is preceded in death by his parents; Otis
Moody Martin; wife, Eloise
Cotton Martin; two brothers,
Otis Martin, Jr., and Dennie
Scott; sister, Marie Pritchett.
William served his country in
the United States Navy, was
retired as a painting contrac
tor. He loved to go fishing
with his wife and kids and en
joyed their vacationing time
at Daytona Beach Florida.
Survivors include his chil
dren and their spouses, Amy
and Rex Ebarb, William and
Jennie Martin Jr., and Rebecca Martin, Tifanie and
Misty Martin, Ashley and John Fulwinder; 25 grand
children; 15 great grandchildren; brother and sister
in law, Jimmy and Heather Martin; sister and brother
in law, Susan and Randy Sweat; several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 11:30
a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral
Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the
chapel. Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W. Mc
Intosh Road, Griffin, is in charge of the arrangements.
