LCSO INCIDENT
REPORT SUMMARY
Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period Sept.
7-13, 2022.
On Sept. 11 at 2:19 a.m., Dep. William Holt worked
an accident on VFW Road where a vehicle was in the
ditch. The vehicle had four bald tires and the driver,
who was not intoxicated, said he just slid off the
road. The driver was checked by EMS and released.
He was cited for failure to maintain lane and defective
tires. The car was towed.
On Sept. 11, Dep. Holt was dispatched to a home
at 170 Holloway Road regarding a disturbance. A fe
male was distraught because someone took the shoe
strings out of her work shoes.
SHERIFF'S REPORT
Between Friday, September 9 and Thursday, Sep
tember 15 the following were processed through the
Lamar County jail:
Jason Milton Charles, 48, Warner Robins, two
counts DU1, criminal trespass and disorderly;
Jimmy Miron Coe, 25, Barnesville, obstructing
person making emergency call, two counts cruelty to
children, simple battery and obstructing officers;
Di’airwynne Jarquez Floyd, 25, Griffin, probation
violation;
Jerry Clinton Gibson, 46, Barnesville, arrested for
U.S. Marshall service;
David James Ham, 42, Newnan, arrested for Coweta
County;
Derringer Redrick Harris, 36, Griffin, speeding and
two counts DU1;
Charlie Mays, 55, Barnesville, bench warrant;
Paul Luther Nipper, 36, Barnesville, possession of
methamphetamine and possession and use of drug
related objects;
William Jarrod Oglesby, 39, Barnesville, incarcera
tion order;
Scotty Allen O’Neal, 45, Woodbury, theft by taking;
Wayne Alfred Owens, 33, Barnesville, child support
lockup order;
Willie Floyd Perdue, 52, Barnesville, possession of
meth.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 135
calls
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 13
911 calls.
Lamar County Fire Fighters responded to 14 911
calls.
Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to two 911
calls.
Ameripro Ambulance Service responded to 63
calls.
There were seven accidents.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies served six state
warrants.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued 19 traffic
citations.

Charles Lindsey Perry, who was convicted of auto
theft in Lamar County in 2021, was paroled Sept. 6,
2022. While on parole he will live in a halfway house
in Douglasville, Ga.

The Three Rivers Region
al Commission is applying
for funding assistance under
the Title 49 U.S.C.§5311
of the Federal Transit Act
pertaining to rural areas.
The Three Rivers Regional
Commission will offer
general public transporta
tion to all citizens of Butts,
Carroll, Lamar, Meriwether,
Pike, Spalding, and Upson
Counties for any worthwhile
purpose, including but not
limited to shopping, medical
treatment (non-emergency),
social services, and other
purposes. The Three Rivers
Regional Commission solic
its private sector input and
participation to assure that
private for-profit transporta
tion operators have a fair
and timely opportunity to
participate in the develop
ment of this program. The
Three Rivers Regional Com
mission also solicits com
ments and concerns from
the general population on
local rural public transpor
tation services. The Three
Rivers Regional Commission
also solicits comments and
concerns from the elderly,
low-income, and disabled
population and their repre
sentatives to assure that is
sues relating to the disabled
are addressed in the service
design proposed during the
planning process.
Interested persons are
invited to request that a
public hearing be held to
discuss the services being
offered or development of
the application. Written
comments, requests for
a public hearing, and/or
written notice of intent by
private for-profit transporta
