Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period June
28-July 5, 2023.
On June 6, Dep. Adam Rowell met with a woman
at 142 Liz Acres Road, Lot #2 who alleged 42-year-
old Ramel S. Jones had stolen a refrigerator from the
residence. Jones had been evicted the previous day.
A report was done and filed on behalf of the owner of
the rental property.
On June 6, Dep. David Waller was dispatched to
192 Johnson St. where he met with Charles Reed.
Reed alleged Christopher M. Huguely, 39, had broken
through a locked door to a building on the property
and stolen a laptop computer. Huguely later returned
the computer. He could face felony burglary charges.
On June 28, Sgt. Wayman Henson worked the case
of two stolen trailer tags at property located at 379
City Pond Rd.
On June 27, just after 11 p.m., Dep. Stephen
Justice was dispatched to 106 Pineview Rd. where
a 14-year-old female had walked away after an argu
ment with her siblings. A search failed to located the
juvenile and she was listed on GC1C as missing.
On June 29, at 2:10 a.m., Dep. Coleman Conner
was observing vehicles in the Reliable Mart parking
lot when he spotted a gold 2005 Buick Lacrosse. A
computer check showed the owner, 47-year-old Yos-
hunda S. Goodrum, had a suspended license for a first
offense DU1. Goodrum had a permit to drive to work
or school but was playing the gambling machines
inside the store.
She exited the store, got in the car and drove off.
Conner soon stopped her and she went to jail charged
with suspended license. Her Buick was impounded.
On July 2, Dep. Justus responded to Old Hwy. 41
near McKenzie Road where two cars had been dam
aged by debris in the road. The debris, which includ
ed a small engine and a pressure washer, appeared to
have fallen from the back of a truck.
SHERIFF'S REPORT
Between Friday, June 30 and Thursday, July 7 the
following were processed through the Lamar County
jail:
Wallace Bradley Barnette, 33, McDonough, speed
ing, giving false name to law enforcement officer and
driving while license suspended or revoked;
Calvin Anthony Brown, 33, Milner, speeding, reck
less driving, DU1 less safe and DU1 alcohol;
Aaron Eugene Byrd, 63, Lizella, no charges listed;
Allen Dewayne Caslin, 41, Barnesville, charges
pending;
Justin Lee Efird, 22, Dallas, DU1 less safe drugs and
failure to dim headlights;
Alexander Escobar, 38, Dublin, hands free law,
reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, suspended
registration and failure to maintain insurance;
Robert Adonus Ethier, 44, Milner, following too
closely and DU1 alcohol;
Ronald Mark Fountain, 59, Greenville, probation
violation;
Thomas Donald Grulke, 38, Jackson, no charges
listed;
Cathy Davis Hamlett, 58, Barnesville, disorderly
conduct;
Santiago Lucio Villa, 33, Thomaston, driving while
unlicensed and failure to maintain lane;
Benquavius Charquil Paige, 29, Griffin, purchase,
possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of mari
juana, possession with intent of schedule I or II con
trolled substance, trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs,
marijuana or methamphetamine and possession of a
firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to
commit felonies;
Edward Michael Sommers, 39, Barnesville, wanted
out of Pike Co.;
Jeremy Lee Wall, 29, Barnesville, battery.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 67 calls.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 14
911 calls.
Lamar County Fire Fighters responded to 26 911
calls.
Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to three 911
calls.
Ameripro Ambulance Service responded to 78
calls.
There were nine accidents.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies served three state
warrants.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued eight traf
fic citations.
POLICE REPORT
Between Monday, June 26 and Sunday, July 9 the
Barnesville Police Department made the following
arrests:
Robert Ethier, 44, 148 Savannah Way, Milner, DUI
and following too closely;
Kandavious Green, 22, 107 Carey J. Buckner,
Barnesville, driving without a license and running a
red light;
Jeremy Wall, 29, 699 Forsyth St., Barnesville, bat
tery;
Laderrickus Stewart, 24, 140 Shoemaker St., Jack-
son, possession of firearms during a crime, aggravat
ed assault and cruelty to children.
They answered 490 calls for service includ
ing: three fights, 14 animal complaints, 48 security
checks, one theft, seven shoplifting, one entering
an auto, four burglaries, 21 domestic, one subject
with firearm, 52 suspicious persons/vehicles, one
suicide/attempt, one speeding, eight accidents, one
intoxicated pedestrian, two hit and run, 19 alarms,
two missing persons, two damage to property, four
harassing phone calls, one unwanted person, four
mental subjects and nine wanted/stolen.
They issued 27 citations including: one failure
to appear, two expired tag, one driving without a
license, one failure to maintain insurance, one no li
cense on person, one no insurance, four driving with
suspended tag, one move over law, 11 speeding, one
running red light, one handsfree law, one DUI, two
following too closely, six failure to stop, one taillight
violation, one no brake lights, two disorderly and
three no thru trucks.

of July 2023, called the City
General Election in and for
said City for the year 2023
to be held on November 7,

held in the Barnesville Civic
Center which is located in
