In this city has seen the advertisement of the fam
ous R & G CORSET in the Ladies’ Home Journal,
Munsey’s Delineator or some other March magazine
and knows, therefore, some important facts about
the corset that does not stretch.
We have in stock a good line of R & G Cor
sets and will be pleased to show them to the “one
woman in seven” —and the other six women also.
The new R & G no 397 —the short-long cor
set, is one of our most popular styles, and sells at
the popular one dollar price. We are still in the
lead in the embroideries. No competition for us
in this line or edges, from 5c to c. All-overs
—nothing like them in town, 75c to $1.50. Don’t
fail to see them.

Daily Services at the Baptist Church.
At the dose of the service at the
Baptist church last Sunday morning
a short conference was held. The
pastor asked the members to consid
er and decide two very important
questions.
First, whether a series of daily
meetings was desired.
Second, If such meetings were de
sired by the church, when should
they be commenced.
After several impressive talks the
vote was unanimous that the meet
ings were desired, and that they
should be commenced Thursday
evening.
When the pastor inquired how
many would actively co-operate with
him in the services to be held, all
immediately arose to their feet, thus
signifying their readiness to go for
ward in the work.
In accordance with this action of
the church, expressed with such
unanimity and enthusiasm, we expect
t ‘ commence a scries- of meetings
Thursday evening, April 2cth, at 7:45
o'clock.
The pastor earnestly requests, and
has the right to expect, the co-op
eration of his own members, and as
cordially and sincerely invites the at
tendance and co-operation of the
pastor and members of all the other
churches in Barnesville and vicinity.
Persons who are not members of any
church are also kindly invited to at
tend these services as often as they
can do so.
It will aftorcl us much pleasure to
have all meet with us, and assist in
furthering the cause of our glorious
redeemer. We crave the presence
and power of God’s spirit. Help us
to pray and laboi for the glory ot
God, the revival of his people, and
for the salvation of souls.
Yours in Christ,
J. M. Brittain, pastor.

marvelous rejuvenating properties of Or.
Pierce’s Golden Medical l)icovery will
prove an unfailing means of rescue and
restoration.
It is a very simple though eminently
scientific medicine. It is not a mere stim
ulant like so many malt extracts. It re
stores healthy power by reviving the in
nermost sources of vitality in the nutritive
system. It enables the digestive and
blood-making organism to manufacture
good blood abundantly and rapidly, so
that the immense waste of tissue anil nerve
fiber entailed by hard labor is offset by
a speedy upbuilding of fresh energy aud
strength.
A prominent and venerable Illinois physician,
D. W, Vowles, M. D., of Fowler, Adams Cos.,
writing to Dr. Pierce, says: "I send herewith
thirty-one (jt) cents in stamps for ‘ The People's
Common Sense Medical Adviser' in cloth bind
ing With this pittance for so valuable a work
(truly a gift to the public), I must express my
iiigh appreciation of the vast amount of good
that you have rendered the public. A correct
measure of your usefulness never has been, aud
never will be estimated by the public; no, not
even by the multitude of afflicted humanity that
has been relieved and cured by your medi
cines. Wherever Jgo or have been in the
United States, I find persons who have used, and
are using Dr. Pierce’s medicines with satisfac
tion, for all conditions for which they are recom
mended. Never has one spoken disparagingly
of their action, and from having seen so often
their good effects, I am also enthused with con
fidence in their action in cases and conditions
for which they are recommended. It is not
common for regular physicians to endorse and
recommend proprietary medicines, but in this
case I have no equivocation or hesitancy in so
doing.”
