TO THE SUPERIOR COURT OF
SAID COUNTY, AND THE
HONORABLE W. I. GEER,
JUDGE THEREOF:
The petition of Lewis M. Carter,
Lois W. Carter and Mary F. Gay,
hereinafter called petitioners, res
pectfully shows: *
1.
Petitioners desire for themselves,
their associates and successors, to
be incorporated under the name
“Lewis M. Carter Manufacturing
Company, Inc.”
2.
The object of said corporation is
pecuniary gain and profit.
3.
The general nature of the busi
ness to be transacted is to manu
facture, buy, sell and otherwise
deal in machines, tools, implements
and siwplies of all kinds, design or
adaptability to and for use in con
nection with agriculture and affili
ated pursuits; to obtain, own, as
sign and sell patents; and to do any
and all acts and things necessary,
convenient, expedient, ancillary or
in aid to the accomplishment of
the foregoing.

Petitioners further desire that
said corporation be vested with all
the rights and powers now or here
after given to do any and all
things which may be needful or
proper in the operation of the
above described business, and that
said corporation have all the pow
ers enumerated in Sections 22-1827
and 22-1828, Code of Georgia as
Amended, and such other powers
as may hereafter be given by law.
5.
The maximum number of shares
of stock shall be 500 of the par
value of SIOO per share, all of
which shall be common stock.
However, the amount of capital
with which the corporation shall
begin business shall not be less
than $25,000. The corporation shall
be authorized to issue additional
shares up to the maximum sum
above stated, and thereafter, from
time to time, to reduce the amount
of capital outstanding, but not be
low the minimum above stated,
and all this upon a majority vote
of the Board of Directors.

; bridge, Georgia; Lois W. Carter,

Georgia.

Petitioners further desire that
by-laws of the corporation shall be
adopted by the common stockhold
! ers, and such by-laws shall
provide for the officers of the corp
oration, the manner of their selec
tion, and such other rules appro
priate to by-laws which have as
their purpose the control and man
agement of the corporation, includ
ing provisions whereby the by-laws
may be amended.

Petitioners exhibit herewith a
'certificate of the Secretary of the
State of Georgia as required by
' Section 22-1803, Code of Georgia.
WHEREFORE, petitioners roray
to be incorporated under the name
and style aforesaid, with all the
rights, powers, privileges and im
munities herein set forth, and such
additional rights, powers and priv
ileges as may be necessary, proper
or incident to the conduct of the
business aforesaid, and as may be
inherent in or allowed to like corp
orations under the laws of the
State of Georgia as they now exist
or may hereafter exist.

The foregoing petition of Lewis
M. Carter, Lois W. Carter and
Mary F. Gay, to be incorporated
under the name of Lewis M. Carter
Manufacturing Company, Inc., has
been duly presented to me, and
read and considered; and it appear
ing that said petition is within the

Because of default in the pay*
ment of the indebtedness secured
and evidenced by that certain se
curity deed from Emory Jackson
to P. E. Shingler dated June 26,
1954, and recorded in Seminole
County Records in Deed Book 26
at page 366, transferred and'as
signed by proper conveyance from
P. E. Shingler to Effie Duvall
under date of April 15, 1957,
Pursuant to the powers contain
ed in said security deed, and the
laws in such cases made and pro
vided, there will be sold at public
outcry, between the legal hours
of sale, on the first Tuesday in
May, 1964, at the Courthouse, in
Seminole County, Georgia, the fol
lowing described real estate, to
wit:
All that tract or parcel of land,
located, lying and being in the
City of Donalsonville, Seminole
County, Georgia, and being more
particularly described as Lot No.
5 in Block “B-9” in the Fairview
Subdivision, as shown by plat
and survey on record in the of
fice of Clerk Superior Court of
Seminole County, Georgia.
Said sale will be made to the
highest and (best bidder for cash,
a good and sufficient deed thereto
will be delivered to the purchaser,
and th? proceeds of the sale will
be used first for the payment of
expenses of sale, secondly toward
the payment of the indebtedness
secured thereby, and the balance,
if any, will be delivered to the
said Emory Jackson, or his legal

Young people to take over duties as
Baptist church observes youth week
The First Baptist Church of (
Donalsonville will observe
Youth Week, May. 3 thru 10. I
Youth Week is a plan for a
church to use its young people
in all the official positions of
church for one week. It is
a project in which the inter
mediates and young people
have an opportunity to learn
by doing. The actual work
ordinarily done by the regu
lar church officials will be
done by the young people who
occupy the positions.
The Youth Council of the
local church is sponsoring the (
Youth Week. A nominating ,
committee from the council,
nominated the officers who;
were elected u
Pastor, Joe Hastey; minist
er of music, Ronnie King;
youth director, Mary Ann
Jenkins; secretary, Carolyn
Reagan; organist, Susan
Shingler; pianist, Carol Faye
Williams;
Whereas, said note has become
in default and the undersigned
elects that the entire note, prin
cipal and interest become due at
once.
Now, therefore, according to
the original terms of said security
deed and the laws in such cases
made and provided, the undersign
ed will expose for sale to the high
est and best bidder, for cash, the
above described lands, after pro
per advertisement, on the first
Tuesday in May, next, between
the legal hours of sale, before the
Courthouse door in Donalsonville,
Seminole County, Georgia. The
proceeds from said sale will be
used, first to the payment of said
note, principal, interest, expenses
and attorneys fees and the balance,
if any, delivered to the said Jim
mie Swearinger and Marie 0.

The Schedule
A schedule of activities has
. been planned to involve all the
i intermediates and young peo
ple of the church:
i Sunday, May 3 will begin
l the week with the youth in
! charge of the evening worship
service. Joe Hastey will bring
the message, a youth choir
'will sing, young deacons and
ushers will participate. The
'youth organist and pianist
will participate, and Ronnie
King will lead the singing.
Wednesday evening, May 6,
there will be a parent-student
! discussion at which time teen
age problems will be discussed
by parents and students. A
filmstrip entitled ‘‘Families
Come in Handy” will be shown
and discussion will follow.
Thursday evening, the young
people wiill meet at the church
to attend the Lions Club min
strel as a group.
Friday evening at 6:30,
there will be a study of the
book Blueprint for Tomorrow,
by Ralph A. Phelps, Jr.
At 8:00 p.m. on Saturday,
adults of the church will take
the young people on an Haw
-1 aiian Holiday at the fellow
ship hall.
Sunday evening, May 10,
the Y cluibs will present a wor
ship drama at 8:00 p.m. Im
mediately following the drama
there will be a fellowship per
iod, sponsored by the council,
’ for all young persons present.
