to make their home. Mr.
Woods is employed by Donal
sonville Motor Co., and the
family resides at the apart
ment of Mrs. J. W. Bruson
which was occupied until re
cently by Mrs. Woods’ sisters,
Misses Maude and Ruby Ing
ram. Maude and Ruby have
purchased a home on South
Dowling Avenue.

Mike Garwood of Valdosta
has been spending some time
here with his cousins, the
sons of Mr. and Mrs. Luther
Spooner. Mike enjoyed going
out to thp farm, but the dust
got the best of him, and his
asthma put him in the hospi
tal for a day or two.

Mr- and Mrs. A. J. Jones
had as their guests last week
at their lodge on Dead Lakes.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jones of
Nashville, Tenn. They return
ed to Donalsonville for the
week end where they were
joined by Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Jones of Rome for a happy
reunion.

Mrs. Ronny Anders and
little son are visiting her pa
rents. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kirk
land in Iron City.

Jimmy Baxley, who is sta
tioned at Maxiwell Field in
Montgomery, Ala., was at
home for the week end accom
panied by a friend, Bill Van
Olden, whose home is in New
Jersey. We hope Jimmy saw
to it that his yankee friend
got some good old Southern
fried chicken, and grits.

Mrs. Mack Fain, Jr. and
family are back from a trip
on which they spent Friday
and Saturday with Mack who
is a patient at the Veterans
Hospital in Oteen, N.C.
The report is that Mack is
looking good, feeling fine and
has gained 31 pounds. He is
expected to soon be able to
spend some time outdoors- He
sends his best wishes to ev
eryone back home along with
his heartfelt thanks for the
thoughtfulness of the many
people who have been so nice
and kind to him and his fami
ly during his absence. His ad
dress has changed from Ward
A-3, Room 321 to Ward A-3,
Room 327. His present room
mates are not as seriously ill
