We desire to express our gratoful acknowl edgemeuts to Mrs. H. W. Carswell for about a half bushel of the largest, smoothest tomatos that we have seen fora long while. Altogether they were the finest lot we have seen during the season. They were perfect beauties. g. The young people of Mt. Vernon and vici nity are requested to meet on Saturday after noon at 4 o’clock, at the residence oi Mrs. Mary Peterson, for the purpose of organizing a choir and practicing tho pieces to be sung during the meeting that is to begin on Saturday before the 3rd Sabbath in this month. W. A. Jones. Installation Service.— Rev. J. W. Montgomery, Rev. J. Quarterman aud elder J. N. Miller, a commission from the Savannah Presbytery, will hold religious ser vices at the Presbyterian church at this place, on Saturday aud Sunday, the 14th and 15th ot August, to*install Rev W. A. Jones as pastor of said church. Ordination of deacons aud elder will take place at that time. Every member of the Presbyterian church is expected to attend, and all other church members, and the public generally, are iuvited to attend. Services to commence on Saturday and close on Sunday. Vernon, Montgomery county Gn. t nml in said county, oo the night of tho 27th of July ISS6. The safe will weigh about four hundred and thirty pounds, aud bears tho nnmo of C. A. MOSELY, in common rod gilt letters, with common key lock, and contains all tho land papers, and some notes and accounts of the nndorsigued, together with all ,the PAPER, GOLD AND SILVER MONEY I had. If said safo aud the coutents are delivered to mo as it was, Iwill pay the money as soon as the safe can bo opened and the money conuted. Otherwise I cannot. C. A. MOHELY. Said Mozo is about 35 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 10 inches high, ratlior fnll face, black hair, mustache and whiskers, which latter ho habitually wears loug on his chin and throat, but may have uow shaven oil, eyes black or dark blue; a little stoop shouldered fair complected, aud rather florid when uuder the influence of liquor, as he frequently is: fine looking and intelligent, when sober, aud dresses well; is a citizen of Long Pond district, Montgomery county Go., whore he has a wife and family; was in-rested for participation in the burglary of C. A. Mozely’s safe ou the 27th July 1886, but escaped from the guard by feigning druukonnoss. NOTICE. I herein notify and forewarn all persons not to contract with or employ It.
