But we are seeing “Jack Frost” these mornings. The canse of there being no “Scraps” last week was, death. Judge Marcus is again visiting Mr. Dawson’s. Mr, A. P. Odoru’s school near this place, closed last Friday. Ho gave sat isfaction so far as I know. I could not at tend on the last dev, to see how the pu pils stood the examination. I feel much iudebted to Miskpr Dora and Eddie Gillis tor a sack of the largest and nicest pomegranates I ever saw. The fair donors will please accept many thanks. Mrs. Mary Gillis, wifo of Angus Gillis, and dnogliter of Mrs. Chance, died ; at the home of her mot Iter on the 24th j October, after a long and painful illness.
