something out of the ordinary line. It
bears a considerable resemblance to a

—Out at Ailey Saturday they held an
election on Hie question of incorporat
ing the town. Quite a considerable ex

was orderly. Incorporation carried by
a majority of three votes, of the num

the scheme contend that there were not
“a majority of the legal voters of said j
proposed corporate limits” cast in favor j
of the measure.

—Court opened here Monday morn
ing Judge Butt of the Chattahoochee
ct presiding. Judge Butt presides with
enso and familiarity with the business
before him, as if lie was raised at it.
There is not a particle of osteutatiou
abont him.
The time of the court up to noon
Monday was chiefly occupied in calling
and continuing cases that were not
ready for trial. The absence, from
sickness, of Col John M. Stubbs neces
sarily continued many of tbe important
cases, and tbev were mostly cases in
which .Tndge Smith was disqualified.
The court was occupied from Mon
day noon until late Tuesday afternoon
with a real estate case of Willis vs Mose
ley and McLeod which resulted in a
verdict for plaintiff. Beasley and Mar
tin for plaintiff; Eason and Loud for
defendants,
Wednesday morning the court took
up the case of Wm. Pritchett vs Charles
Bengnot, one of Judge Smith’* disqual
ified cases, which was a case of consid
erable importance Jiu which nearly all
the older mem era of bar were engaged,
and which is still in progress as we close

M. nammerlv, a well-known business man
of Hillsboro, Va., sentis tills testimony to
tbe merits of Ayer’s Sarsaparilla: “Several
years ago, I hurt my leg, the Injury leaving
a sore which led to erysipelas. My sufferings
were extreme, my leg, from the knee to the
ankle, being a solid sore, which began to ex
tend to other parts of the body. After trying
various remedies, I began taking Ayer’s
Sarsaparilla, and. before I had finished the
first bottle, I experienced great relief; the
second bottle effected a complete cure.”
