Prisoners Escape From
Toombs County Jail.

lips, recently convicted of man
slaughter in connection with the t
killing of young Otis Holm l s in j
this county some weeks ago, es
caped from the Toombs county
jail last Friday morning. Under
directions of Sheriff Culpepper
they had not been cor.lined in
cells at night, and even with a
guard in the jail, they found it
easy to saw off one of the bars of
a window arid make their escape.
Sheriff Culpepper is not worri
ed over the escape of his prison
ers, but is of the opinion they
have gone home to make their
families a brief visit, and that
they will return in a short time.
