LOCAL MAN BUYS
FORD STATIONS
Mr. P. J. McNatt Purchases
Service Stations at Lyons
and Vidalia.
The purchase by Mr. P. J. Mc-
Natt of this place of the Ford
j sales and supply stations at Vi
dalia and Lyons places under one
management the largest automo
bile sales and supply’enterprises
in this section of the state.
The plant at Mt. Vernon, built
two years ago by Mr. McNatt, is
the most modern automobile sta
tion in this section, and combined
with the plants at Lyons and Vi
dalia, makes it an enterprise
I second to none in South Georgia
Mr. McNatt is receiving an aver
age of a carload of cars a week
for the three stations.
The change necessitates a re
arrangement of the mechanical
force and business staff, and yet
many of the old employes will
retain their positions with the
big auto enterprise. Mr. B. C.
Anderson will remain in charge
of the Mt. Vernon plant, Mr. H.
E. Grace will manage the Lyons
plant and Mr. Mack Auld will be
at the Vidalia plant. Mr. George
Smith, who has been master me
chanic at the Mt. Vernon plant,
is transferred to Vidalia, succeed
ed at the local plant by Mr. Wal
ter Mills, while the Lyons station
will be under the supervision of
Mr, Chandler as chief mechanic.
Mr. McNatt is one of the most
enterprising and successful auto
mobile dealers in the state, and
the public, especially that part
of the public owning Ford cars,
is delighted at the enlarged facili
ties made possible bv Mr. McNatt.
Several carloads of parts and sup
plies are carried at all times, and
no owner of a Ford in this part
of the state can have any diffi
culty in securing parts or service.
