BANQUET TUESQAY NIGHT
The alumni-ae banquet at Brewton-
Parker Tuesday evening was a charm
ingsocial and literary event, witness
ed by a large number from a distance
returning to pay tribute to their alma
mater and to renew friendships and
rehearse former school days at the
Institute.
Os more than pasing interest was
the atendance of the newly elected
president, Prof. A. M. Gates, con
nected with the school for several
years after its organization in 1905,
and the attendance and participation
on the program by Prof. L. S. Bar
rett, the retiring president, together
with a number of former students,
members of the faculty and others.
The program as rendered was as
follows:

HOME DEMONSTRATION
AGENTS HAVE SESSION
A conference of the Home Demon
stration agents Is now going on in Sa
vannah. the first session having been
a tthe Board of Trade yesterday aft
ernoon.
Fourteen agents are here from the
adjoining counties for this demonstra
tion. Daily sessions will be held at
the kitchen of the Y. W. C. A.. Aber
corn and York streets, commencing
this morning. Miss Wells. Chatham
county demonstration agent, is host
ess. assisted by Chatham county home
demonstration dubs.
This afternoon a t 6 o’clock the
Home Demonstration Club will serve
dinner at 6 o'clock at the Montgom
ery School. On Thursday at 2 o'clock
the ls’e of Hope Demonstration Club
will serve uncheon In the community
kitchen and on Friday at 6 p. m., the
Thunderbolt Club will serve tea at
the home demonstration tea room at
Thunderbolt.
