RESOLUTIONS IN MEMORY
OF BRO. T. A. ROCKETT
Once again a brother Mason, hav

him on life’s trestle board, has passed
through the portals of eternity and
entered the Grand Lodge of the New
Jerusalem and hath received as his
reward the white stone with the new
name written thereon.
And whereas, the All-wise and mer
ciful Master of the universe has call
ed from labor to refreshment our be
loved brother, T. A. Rockett, who
having been a faithful and true mem
ber of our order,
Therefore, be it resolved,
First, that in his passing tne lodge

munity a good and highly respected
citizen, and his family an affectionate
husband and father.
Second, that we tender the family
of the deceased brother our sincere
condolence in their deep affliction, and
that a copy of these resolutions oe

A TALK WITH A VIDALIA MAN.
MR. J. HOUSTON FIELDS OF 509
FIRST STREET, TELLS OF HIS
EXPERIENCE.
There is nothing like a talk with
one of our own citizens for giving
hope and encouragement to the anx
ious sufferer from the dread kidney
disease. We, therefore, give here an
interview with a Vidalia man:
“I had a severe attack of kidney
trouble,” says Mr. Fields. “I had
backache all the time and my kidneys
were weak and irregular in action. It
was hard for me to pass the kidney
secretions- They were scanty at times
and accompanied by a burning sensa
tion. Doan’s Kidney Pills were re
commended to me and I got a supply
and commenced to use them. After
taking one box I was relieved and one
more entirely rid me of this trouble.
T take Doan”s now and then as a pre
ventive and they keep me in good
shape. Doan’s are a wonderful kid
ney medicine."

BAD TAKE SALTS
Says Backache is a sign you have been
eating too much meat, which
forms uric acid.
When you wake up with backache and
dull misery in the kidney region it gen- I
orally means you have been eating too j
much meat, says a well-known authority, j
Meat forms uric nci 1 which overworks
the kidneys in their effort to filter it
from the blood and they bceoino sort of 1
paralyzed and loggy. When your kidneys
get sluggish an. clog you relieve \
them, like you relieve your bowels; re
moving all the body’s urinous waste,
else you have backache, sick headache,
dizzy spells; your stomach sours, tongue
is coated, and wiien tho weather is bad
you have rheumatic twinge*. The urine
is cloudy, full of sediment, channels often
get sore, water scalds and you are obliged
to seek relief two or three times daring
the night
Either consult a good, reliable physi
cian at oi.ee or got from your pharmacist
about four ounces of Jad Salts; take
a tablospoonful in a glass of water
before breakfast for a few days and your
kidneys will then act fine. This famous
salts is mrde from the acid of grapes
and lemon juice, combined with lithio,
and has been used for generations to
clean,and stimulate sluggish kidneys,
also to neutralize acids in the urine so it
no longer irritates, thus ending bladder
weakness.
Jad Salts is a life saver for regular
meat eaters. It is inexpensive, cannot
injure and makes a delightful, effer
vescent lithia water drink.

the Holy Spirit and a great demonstra
tion of conversions under the work of
the spirit, as the man of God, Rev.
S. D. Walker, poured out his soul
in preaching the gospel of Jesus
Christ-
The entire community was stirred
up and revived and there were thirty
three accessions to the church as a
result of the meeting. XXX
GOVERNMENT ARRANGES FOR
PROMPT RECEIPT OF MAIL
The postal authorities this week in
augurated auto mail delivery from
Helena to Lyons and intermediate
points, this service taking the place
of mail formerly carried by the early
morning train over the Seaboard.
The bus leaves Helena each morning
about six o’clock, following the arrival
of the mail from Atlanta, carrying mail
for Stuckey, Alamo, Glen wood, Mt.
Vernon, Ailey, Vidalia and Lyons, and
enabling subscribers to receive daily
papers several hours earlier than if the
train service was relied on alone. No
mail is carried by the bus on the re
turn trip to Helena, but effort is be
ing made to have the bus leave Lyons
each afternoon and collect mail bound
for Macon and Atlanta and points
north-
