DR. E. E. COX ELECTED
TREUTLEN REPRESENTATIVE
r
With little more than 700 votes cast
in the election on Wednesday in this
county, the race for representative
was a warmly contested affair. Dr.
E. E. Cox was elected over his closest
opponent, Mr. W. F. Manning, by
126 votes. Judge H. J. Kignt ran a
poor third. Early in the morning in
dications pointed to a close race be
tween Cox and Manning, which prac
tically eliminated Judge Right, and
early in the day he conceded his de
feat. The total vote for Cox in the
county was 438, for Manning 312, and
for Right 22.—Soperton News.
