Tate of the water and light plant has completed the work of putting down water mains on Durden street. Rev. W. M. Darby and Mrs. Fred Way were joint hostesses Wednesday afternoon at pretty party at the home of Mrs. Darby in honor of their guests, Mrs. W. E. Green of Junction City and Mrs. Jake Herring of Tif ton. Chrysanthemums and other fall flowers were used for decorations throughout the living room, reception room and dining room, which were thrown together for the occasion. Rook was played at nine tables, Mrs. Howard Murchison making top score. Other out-of-town guests included Mrs. P. T,. Holt of Americus and Mrs. D. A. Holmes of Vladivostok.
