J. F. STONE PLEADS
FOR CORN CLUBS
Editor Progress.
Pfermit me to sa? that I am
truly glad that we at least have
one live and ,wide-a-wake news
paper man in our county. If any
people on earth needs waking-up
we do. It did me good.to notice
that you are'after a Boys Corn
Club.
Other counties all over the
state have Corn Clubs and why
not Grady? We have the climate,
we have , the soil and vve have
the' boys. Then why not have &
Corn Club?Really it would not be
anfiss to have a Man Corn Club.
The people of Grady needs rous
ing up to their own interest.
Whoop them up Mr. Blanton,
and keep whooping. There is no
doubt about Grady being one of
the very best counties in Georgia,
but the half hammered and slip-
shoddy methods used in this
county will neverBplace Grady
where'this county justly belongs.
I move (if I can get a second)
that every school teacher in this
connty exert themslves in trying
to arouse the hoys and their pr-
rents ambition and send in all,
the names of the ambitious boys ■
who have life and energy enough
to enter the Corn Club for this
i year to .you and that you publsh
pleasant with their names as those who hi va
joined the Grady county Club.
Again Mr. Editor I move if
any club is organized in this
connty, that you .take it-upm
