each state that should send in
what they called the “Last Word”
suggestions as to things that might
well be included in the book.
Mrs. .Bryan a few days ago re
ceived a cheek for 85.00 with the
announcement that she had been
the successful contestant from
Georgia for the “Last Word” sug
gestions. .
The New work is to be. known as
the World Boola and the first vol
umes of this tiro about ready to
come from the press.
Mrs. Ct. G. Gainous and her
sister Mrs. Id. E.,Stevens left Mon
day morning for LosCrucos New
Mexico to attend the .bedside of
Mr. Stcvons. Mr. Stevens resides
in Arkansas anil went from there
some two or three months ago, to
New Mexico with the hope of find
ing relief for pulmonary trouble
with which he is suffering. Mrs.
Stevens has been on a visit to her
sister, here and Sunday had a mess
age from the Physician at Las
Crucas saying that the condition
of her husband was noi at all- en
couraging. Accompanied by Mrs.
Gainous she left immediately to go
to his bedside.
