from Elberton Tuesday to attend
the Carmichael-Harris marriage, I
and will return today.

Mr. Frank Tidwell, who recently
underwent an operation upon liis
side in Atlanta, has about recover
ed, though his mother is still with
him.
Miss Pearl Rivers spent last Wed
nesday in the city, the guest of Mrs
H. B. Neal. She was on her way
to Eastman, where she is now
teaching.
Messrs. Harris and Talmadge Car

tended the marriage of their broth -
er, Mr. Hugh Carmichael, in Atlan
ta last Sunday.

known in Henry county, and came

tion, announces for coroner in this

the grounds of justifiable homicide.

Tax Collector J. M. Ingram makes
his announcement for re-election in

Mr. Blanton Welch of Sandy
Ridge sold sixteen bales of cotton
here this week, for which he re
ceived over it 1200. Mr. Welch is
one of Henry’s most energetic and
substantial farmers.
