THE subscriber having applied to the Patent Office
for a patent fertile above Machines, do hereby fore
warn all persons from making or using the same, without
his permission.
1 hoy are of different sizes, according to the purpose to
which they arcintended to be applied
No. 1 is employed, instead of the present mode of pan
nin “, to seperate the Gold from the sand as taken up from ,
the larger Machines, or from the Rifflerof the rocking
Machines now muse. It will bo found to boa much 1
j easier method of performing that operation, and much
j more economical, both with regard to time and the saving
lof the Gold. A Machine of this description may be seen
|on the Mine, No. 729 of this district, belonging to the
Washington Company.
j No. 2ls intended for washing the Grit as taken from
I j c Mine, and where there is a suiliciency of water, eight
hands, when accustomed to the work, will wash three
hundred bushels of grit per hour, without losing any Gold.
This Machine will be warranted to wash more grit in a
given time, than any five Machines now in use, and to
lose less Gold then any one.

brig lUorrell mare,flax main and tail, about
live years old, live feet high, with some
saddle spots on her back, considerably wind-galled below
the hocks of the hind legs, and newly shod all round. —
The above Reward will be given for the delivery of the
mare and thief, or twenty dollars foi the thief and suffi
cient evidence to co ivic: Ann; or five dollars for the mare j
alone. If stolen thi thief lias made Ins way towards Ten- ’
nessee. The supposed thief is abnut thirty or thirty-five 1
years old, sandy hair, blue eyes, five feet, 6 or 8 inches
high, recently from ucAiinn county, Tennessee.

on the 20th day of May, 1833, a bay horse, near 19 !
| hands high, very thin in order, about 10 or 12 years old, I
with old shoes on before; he is light made, and has some !
white spots on bis shoulders, supposed to he done by the
collar; he had an old bell on, the collar supposed to be an
old hinstrap. Appraised by Jonathan Oxford and An
drew’ Flowers, at forty dollars.
