last week with his mother, Mrs.
Robert Cardell, Sr., en route
home after giving a lecture at
University of Tennessee in Knox

Ga. Graduates
ATHENS, Ga.—Pres. Novice
G. Fawcett of Ohio State Uni
veristy will address almost 2,000
University of Georgia graduates,
June 4. Commencement exer
cises will be held at 3:30 p.m.
in the Coliseum.
President Fawcett, who heads
one of the nation’s largest and
best-known universities, is an
honor graduate of Kenyon Col
lege and an alumnus of Ohio
State. He holds 12 honorary
degrees.
He began his career as a high
school teacher and served sev
eral large Ohio school systems
as superintendent before return
ing to Ohio State as president.
He is a member of Phi Beta
Kappa and serves as an adviser
and director of numerous found-

speaking, Astrologer Charles W.
Ptacek has advised the Northside
News of Atlanta.
Mr. Ptacek said a comparison
of horoscopes of the gubernator
ial candidates and potential can
didates indicated that Mr. Arnall
has a slight edge over GOP How
ard (Bo) Callaway in the com
petition for Georgia’s number
one executive position.
Also ruled out by Mr. Ptacek
as winners were former Gov
ernor Ernest Vandiver, Judge
Jeptha Tanksley, and Lester
Maddox.
