the Guinness Book of World Records
for being the Five Oldest Siblings in the
World and they were even featured in a
German newspaper.

Rosalee’s columns were compiled
into a book titled, The Wit and Wis
dom of Rosalee in 2009.
Her name was shared worldwide
when she and her siblings were
earned the Five Oldest Siblings
In the World title which was re
corded by the Guinness Book of
World Records in 2018. They had
a combined age of 490 years old in
2018 when the title was awarded to
them. The story of the five siblings
spread across the globe as various
TV stations filmed them as they
shared their testimonies and stories
with viewers across the nation and
beyond. In each interview, they
emphasize the importance of love,
family and faith in order to have a
happy life. Their humor has also
shown through in each interview
and their inner joy shone.
Even a newspaper in Munich,
Germany - called The Local - shared
the local sibling’s story with their
readers. The news- paper had a
readership of more than 100,000 in
the city of 1.4 million people.

OBITUARIE
Julie Goolsby Rick Forsyth, Sr.
Mrs. Julie Michelle Jones Goolsby, age 50, of
Cookeville, TN, passed away December 5, 2021 in
Williamson, GA, surrounded by her loving family.

County High School. She
was an entrepreneur who
owned a children’s clothing
store and a tanning salon.
She adored her children and
loved spending time with her
family.
Julie was preceded in
death by her father Johnny
Jones, father-in-law Claude
Bowman and her brother-in-
law Greg Goolsby.
She is survived by her
husband of 30 years: Mike
Goolsby; children: Mary Mi
chael Goolsby, Lindsey Grace
Goolsby and Griffin Goolsby;
mother: Angie Jones; sisters:
Kris Perkins (Rodney) and Brooke Bartlett (Adam);
nephews and a niece: Hunter, Levi, Ethan, Tatum,
Maddie, Briggs and Beau; mother-in-law: Bettye Bow
man; sister-in-law: Tammy Goolsby; and her beloved
dog: Georgia.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, De
cember 8 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. A
memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel of
Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.

Mr. Richard (Rick) Michael Forsyth, Sr., age 73,
of Milner, passed away November 28, 2021. He was
born in Columbus, GA, son of the late Charles For
syth and Willie Mae Eurkhart
Lorsyth. Rick worked as an
accountant for the Lederal
Bureau of Prisons for many
years before retiring. He
enjoyed annual fall trips to
the Smokey Mountains and
Pigeon Forge. He was an ex
cellent photographer and es
pecially liked taking pictures
of barns, covered bridges and
landscapes. Rick was an avid
bowler and secretary/trea
surer of his league in Fayetteville called “moving on.”
Rick was well loved and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his brothers and sisters, Helen, Elizabeth,
Ouida, Anita, Robert and Glen.
He is survived by his wife: Bobbie Lorsyth; chil
dren: Richard (Rick) Michael Lorsyth, Jr. (Brandi)
of Phoenix, AZ, Chris Forsyth (Dawn) of Lexington,
GA, Stephanie Owen of Milner, GA and Craig Lincher
(Jessica) of Eatonton, GA; grandchildren: Scott Owen
(Heather), Brandon Owen, and Elbe Lincher; great-
granddaughters: Eleara Owen and Raya Owen; many
nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation was held on Saturday, December 4,
2021 from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. A
memorial service followed at 2 p.m. in the chapel of
Moody-Daniel Luneral Home with Pastor Brian Simon
officiating.
