Uniontown, Pa., May 17.—A pitched
battle took place at W. -J. Rainey’s

ness and left for dead, while Deputies
Vincent, Gallatin, John Beatty, Will
iam Roach and Harry Raymond were
seriously and probably fatally injured.
A posse of 40 men has been organized
and armed to make the arrests.
