One morning last week, Mr. Sctli
Rickctson boarded the train at Mc
Donald’s Mill, coining this way, in
tending to get off at Waresboro, and
we learned, so informed the conduc

however, no stop was made, nor was
the speed of train much slackened, and
Mr. Rickctson either fell or jumped
from the train, near the depot, striking
upon his head, among some scantling,
ties, etc. This was about sunrise, it is
said, and he remained in an uncon
scious state until about 3 o’clock last
Thursday morning, without ever hav
ing spoken. Ilis death is regretted by
all who knew him, while he leaves a
wife and many relatives to mourn his
untimely death.
