A number of en'husiastic Odd
Fellows, mcniliers of UreonleaC
Lodge No. 249 of Blacksheur,
came over la-t night and met
with Waycross Lodge No. 9’
Members of the Waycross lodge
of Odd Fellows assisted in instir
luting Greenleaf Lodge, and for
this reason, as well as for vari
ous others, it was indeed
a great pleasure foe- them
to have the Blacksbear Odd Fel
lows meet with them last night.
The initiatory and first de
grees were very creditably con
ferred on a candidate and the se
cret work was exemplified. Af
ter the conferring of the degrees
a recess was declared for the
purpose of letting all present
partake of the well prepared re
freshments in the hall. For the
delicious refreshments much
credit is due the members of
Esther Rebekah Lodge No. (i,
who spared no nains to see that
none went away hungry. After
partaking of the excellent feast,
the members reassembled in the
lodge room where some very
interesting and timely remarks
were made by members of both
lodges. " The visitiug Odd Fel
lows, after having expretsed
themselves ns being highly
pleased with the occasion, and
thanking the local lodge for
courtesies, took their departure
for Blacksheur about 10:45.
