thorpe Lodge No. 1, I. O. O. F., last
night celebrated Its 64th anniversary.

Mr. Frank C. Owens had given out
the contract for a number of fine dwelt
log houses to be erected on his prop
erty In the western part of the city.
Some of the building! will be con
structed by Mr. C. E. Dunn, the con
tractor, and the Wayeross Tile Com
pany has the contract for the erection
of a two-story, artificial stone building.
Two of the dwellings will be built of
brick, but the greater number will be
of wood. Mr. Owens will erect about
thirty dwellings during the next few
months, and If there Is a demand for
more, will give out contracts for aa
many more as are needed.
