THE LIGHT AT HOME
The light at home! how bright It
beams
When evening tthades around us
fall.
And from the lattice far it gleams.
To love, and rest and comfort call!
When wearied with the toils of day—
The strife for glory, gold or fame.
How sweet to seek the quiet way.
Where loving lips will lisp
name,
Around the light at home.
The light at home! bow still and
sweet
It peeps from yonder cottage door
The weary laborer to greet—
When tho rough tolls of day are
o'er!
Sad Is the soul that does not know
The blessings that Its beams Im
part ~
The cheerful hopes and Joys that flow
And lighten up the heaviest heart,
Around the light at home.

ANOTHER NAVAL MUTINY.
Portsmouth. England, Nov. 6.—An
other naval mutiny ocurred at the bar
racks here last night, as the result
troops bi*lng hurried here from several
points. The warships in the harbor
has also been ordered to make ready
for landing armed guards In case of
further disturbances. It baa been sev
eral years since such mutinies la Eng-
lands naval barracks, nnd the out
breaks have alarmed tho authorities
who fear that the whole garrison may
be effected. In the outbreak last night
tae rioters atneked the officers quart
ers and broke nil the windows. They
were not subdued until many had been
arrested and several badly beaten.

by the way a Jew, Mr. Judah J. Ben

Apart from the Immediate political
effect of the appointment, which may
