At a called meeting of Waycross
Camp U. C. .V., No. 819 this date. A
The most sanguine Waycrosslte will
be tlckloCS tu!ghUy at the announce
ment that Waycross will get a post
office building much better than the
one planned recently and one thnr
will consume the full appropriation.
Recently opened bids were for sev
eral thousand dollars less than the ap
propriation, and the department re
jected all bids determining to make
lew plans for a much better building.
Postmaster Murphy has bee n advis
ed that all the proposals received for
tho construction of the government
building to be erected on the site in
his custody have been repected, as
tho amount of the appropriation avai,-
uble will permit of tho construction
of a better building than contemplated
by the present plans. When new plan*
re ready the work will again be ad-
ertised for bids.
