govern the blrdmen.
The first hills governing aerial high
ways have been Introduced In the
California legislature at Sacramento
by asHemblymun Fitzgerald in the
Assembly and by Senator Wolfe in
the senate. They were prepared un
der the guidance of the Pacific Aero
Club at San Francisco, and provldo
first for the designation of aeroplan
es as "motor vehicles," the register
ing of such vehicles’ with the Secre
tary of State and the taking out of
a license number, to be displayed as

Here Are Facts We Want You To
Prove At Our Risk.
When the roots of the hair are en
tirely dead and the pores of the scalp
are glnzed over, we do not believe
that anything can restore hair growth.
Rexall "93" Hair Tonic acts scien
tifically, destroying the germs which
are usually responsible for baldness.
It penetrates to the roots of the hair,
stimulating and nourishing them. It
Is a must pleasant toilet necessity, is
delicately perfumed and will not guin
The hills also contain a clause re- j nor pormanently stain the hair.
We want you to get a bottle of
gardlng the carrying of lights. It Is J
provided that all aeroplanes shall
carry "at lenst four lights, one In the
center of the vehicle In front of the
driver, one at the extreme rear, uml
one at each end of the lifting planes,
these last two to he, one rod and one
green, the red light, to bo placed at
tho eud of the right plane, and the
green at the end of the left plane."
It would seem that the legislators
of California take It for granted that
the type of the every-day air vc-ticfe
will bo the biplane, judging by the
arrangements of the lights.
Rut these bUls are not the only pro*
posed legislation. The shootiug clubs
In California are urging legislation
to govern shooting game from aero
planes. They fear that the blrdmen
will tfUasc the feathered trl$*o off
their preserves, amt make shooting
from tho ground more difilctm than
it la now.
Thus does the science of aviation
progress.
x LOCOMOTIVE FIREMEN
WON’T GET ANY RAISE
Chicago Jan. 27.- RepresentatUe of
the 35,000 locomotive firemen em
ployed on 61 western railroads and
the general managers who have been*
conferring over a dispute as to the
wage* to he paid on a certain class of
engines, have failed to reach an aftree
uient and the wages will continue tho
same. A year ago an arbitration board
gave fliremen on engines with a 24-
Inch cylinder or over and on com
pound engines weighing over 215,000
pounds $3.75 per day. The general
managers claimed this was a mistake
a* many of the engines were equip
ped with superheaters that reduced
the amount of coal burned te the
same level as the smaller classes of
engines. The firancta wanted an In
crease of t$ per cent tn wages la lien
of the wvnrd of the arbiter*.
