was the party given by Miss Eddie
Paraell last 'light in celebration of
Miss Thelma’s sixteenth birthday.
The decorations used were a prafua
ion of pink and white roses which
fo; raed a very pretty back-ground for
tne young girls in' their dainty dress
es. Miss Thelma wore a very dainty
white dress, hand-made, and will nev
er look more charming than on her
j sixteenth birthday. Miss Parnell
1 ceived her guests wearing a very be-
| coming .grey silk. Those who assls-
i ted in entertaining were Mrs. Ham-
| mie Lee, Mrs. S. B. Parker, Misses
j Wilson, Paschal, Pittman, Haui, Cal
houn, Palmer, Bardin and Perham.,
| Dainty cakes and pink and white ices
were served. Miss Paschal served
punch. Miss Baum received a large
j number of lovely rememberanccs of
hir- happy occasion. Among them
a diamond ring which had belonged
; to Mr. Parnell, who died some time
j ago and just before his death ex
pressed the wish that the ring be
given her on this occasion. Those
