The new directory of tne Southern
Bell Telephone Company has been
delivered to the subscribers in Way-
cross by Manager W. S. Henley. The
new directory is attractive in appear
ance and contains all changes and
corrections in listings that have been
made since the last Issue.
The number of new names appear
ing In the list would Indicate that
there are constant additions to the
number of subscribers In Waycross,
and vicinity and that telephone de
velopment is continuous.
The Southern Bell Company some
time ago evolved a plan whereby It
furnishes telephone service to farm
ers and other rural residents on an
economical basis. As a result the
trlephone Is now the rule, rather than
the exception, on the farm, and far
mers in all sections of the country
are installing telephones in their
homes.

Foundry Company of Atlanta, was a
visitor In our city on Saturday and

night. Mr. Coolidge’s company is one
ol the largest manufacturers of brakes
la America, a frequent visitor to Way-
cross, he spoke with great apprecia
tion of the solid growth and material
development of our city.
