team of Corbett & Forrester, who will
be seen in their newest offering “The
I ady lawyer", tonight. In present-

Mr. Tillman was, when we ffmf

Gonzales of The Columbia State, cast
a shadow over his life, that he could
fever remove. In many conversations
i fter that sad time he spoke with
deepest regret at what hud occurred,
and-felt bitterly the loss of the friend
ship of many ns a result.
Jim Tillman was considerably n:!s-
judged and unnecessarily condemned
by many for that sad event. Those
of us who knew the entire story,
knew how bltterlly ho Lad been as
st lied, and how continuously and re
lentlessly Mr, Gonxales followed him
up from day to day, and the wrfUrjol
knowing the apful force of this con
tinuous and relentless persecution,
was not surprised at the sudden ex
plosion of wrath that resulted la thus
ending one life at once, and embitter-

tie survivor. Jim Tillman with all
Ms shortcomings was loyal to his
f* fends, generous to a fault, and deep
ly sensitive to the censure he receiv
ed, and had it not been for the blight-
