Little Miss Mamie Allen returned
yesterday afternoon from a visit to
relative* in Valdosta.
Mrs. Margaret G. Smith, sister of
Mrs. A. H. Patterson, of Waycross,
died Saturday at her home In Savan-
nah. Mrs. Smith wa* 38 years of
age, and had only been sick for
short time. The funeral and inter
ment occurred in Savannah yesterday
afternoon.
Miss Geneva Jones has returned
and will be pleased to seo her friends
again at Humphreys & Wlliamsons.
Miss Jones is at home with Mrs. Jef
fers on Brunei street .

dred increase over the opening day
of last term.
Eleven hundred and twenty had reg
istered up until today. There are
doubtless a number of others yet to
come, and the session promises to be
the most successful in the history of
the schools.
Mr. J. D. Llnville, of Detroit, Mich.,
Is in the city on a visit. He is inter
ested in Ware county soil and ex
pects to make this locality his future
home.
Mr. Sam B. Lewis, of Nicholls, a
former resident of Waycross, spent
