Savannah, Ga., Sept. 21.~For the first time iii Georgia the Beulah Bin- ford pictures were shown In Savan nah today. They were not put o public exhibition but were given a private view at the Folly Theatre. They were seen “by several ministers of the city, representatives of the city government and one or two local societies and by the newspaper rep resentatives. There was nothing of fensive in the pictures as seen but Mayor Tiedeman is still withholding his permission for them to be put on public exhibition. Toronto, Ont., Sept. 22.—Every thing is in readiness at Woodbine Park for the opening tomorrow of the autumn meeting of tbo Ontario Jockey Club. The club officials expect t ie meeting to be one of the best ever held in Toronto. The horses have re turned to the autumn meeting thor oughly seasoned after the summer’s campaign and the quality of the thor oughbreds will make the contention for the stakes and purses the keenest on record.
