Interesting
Every train last night and this mor-
nltg are bringing In their quota ot
delegates or messengers to attend the
ninety-sixth annual convention of the
Piedmont Baptist Association. If the
present rates is maintained this con
vention will show one of the largest
records of attendance in Its history.
The Association was called to order
by the Moderator, Judge T. A. Par
ker, promptly at 10 o'clock a. m. The
day meetings are being held in the
spacious auditorium of the Bunn-Bell
College. It 1b probable that to meet
the convenience of delegates and pub
lic, the night meetings may be held
downtown at one of the churches.
After prayer by Bro. Little, (one of
the very oldest among the delegates
both in age and years of service for
God), the letters were read from var
ious churches represented and dele
gates seated. There are nearly 50;
Baptist churches in the bounds of the
association. c . - * |
