Mr..D. L. Vickers, of Jasper, Fla. was a guest of the Phoenix last night. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cottlngham. Of Live Oak, Fla., are In the city vis iting relatives. Then Mr. Alwood, of High' Springs, district representative of the Southeastern district of I. A. of M„ was Introduced and made a very Interesting talk. Short, hut Interesting talks were also made by nev. R. A. Brown, Mr. Frank Howell, Mr. George McFera, Mr. H. E. Hengeveld, Mr. IV. P. Cler and Mr. Woods. sumptuous supper was served, and the occasion was one of the most enjoyable affairs of'the season. Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Ramsey have arrived In Waycross to make their home here. They will live' on Gil more street. Mr. E. J. Marsh, of Albany, former ly at the head of the Marsh Cypress Company In this city. Is spending several days here. He Is stopping at Lafirande. Mr. Howard Harley, who has been quite sick with fever, Is Improving. His friends wish for him a speedy recovery.
