The varloua function, of the week
were Inaugurated last night with, a
band concert at the auditorium by
‘ the musician* of the Fifth Maryland
! Regiment, when more than 5,000 per-

Today the only set event Is the re
ception at tho audiorium at night
when Gov. Hoke Smith ot Georgia,
and Oov. Baldwin" of Conectlcut will
reeelva visitors and local cltlzena.
On Tuesday the-peace monument
will be unveiled at Piedmont Park,
preceded by a parade ot the visiting
and local military bodies. The pro.
cession It expected to be one of the
most imposing ever seen In this city,

entertained with* a barbecue and at
night a gentlemen'* smoker will be
given.
The Northern military organzations
will be decorated by local orginla-
