Hud- son, /ptlperintendent of the Confeder ate Soldiers’ home In Ormewood park, was killed Sunday evening by falling or jumping from a moving Lakewood car near the corner of Washington street and Woodward avenue. Death did not result Instantly, but came several hours later at the Atlanta hos pital, where he was rushed Immedi ately following the accident, his skull having been fractured by the fall. Mr. Hudsoa was going from town on the Lakewood car just about 6 o'clock and wanting to get off at Woodward avenue, he spoke to ths conductor about It several times. The car was crowded, and when it neared the corner Mr. Hudson, who was 77 years old, made his way to the rear platform. Witnesses standing .there say that he jumped from the moving car as it was slowing down for tbe corner, the momentum throwing him on his head and knocking him unconscious.
