EASTER AT GUYSIE.
The People There Enjoyed an Ideal
Day.
Guysie, Ga., March, April 3,—
Easter Sunday was an ideal day in
•Guysie. The sun rose in all its
splendor, coaxing the latent buds
to blosBom and reminding u» of
the ressurrection of our Lord.
The Guysie Sunday school build
ing was decorated with greens and
flowers from the wood, and the
usual services were held tliore.
Many of the Guysie people attend
ed services efsewhere Easter morn
ing. Dr. Hamilton, Mr. Peuing-
ton with his daughters in company
with the Guysie school teacher
•went to Aimer to tent meeting
■that was being held there. The
•services were worth riding five
miles to attend. A number of
the young men went in wagons.
Mr. Hutchinson went to Way-
cross Saturday as a guest of Mr.
Hilliard. Other* also went to
Waycross to attend Easter service
at Trinity. All agree that Bro.
Mather delivered one of his best
sermons.
Dr. Hamilton’s little boy Ralph,
Jias recovered from his recent ill
ness.
. Mr. Q. Douglas haB returnea
from Homerville where he has been
attending school.
Last week there were a number
of birthday dinners given at the
•Guyaie Hotel. Miss Moilie (ladle,
(he daughter of the proprietor of
the hotel received a number of
valuable present.
