A force of painters under the di

Recently workmen have been
busy on the building. Needed im
provements have been made in the
interior of the building which will
add very much to its convenience
and attractiveness, and the veran
da which ran along the front and
part of one side has been -tom
away. When tho improvements
arc completed this will make one
of the prettiest of tho down town
buildings.
A Traveling Pain.
There is no disease quite so pe
culiar as rheumatism. The pain
which is in the little finger today
may be in one of the toes to-mor
row. And so it travels all over the
system, seeking an outlet, and
finding none it setles permanently
in one place, and from its home
other pains start out, and settle
down and multiply. Dr. Drum
mond’s Lightning Remedies for
rheumatism attack the disease
from all points at once, and their
work is always successful. If
your druggist has not got t!;csc
remedies, write to the Drummond
Medicine Co., New York, and de
scribe your ease. Agents wanted.

FACTS ABOUT COSMOPOLITAN
WASHING BRUSHES.
It ia best not to put one’s heavy
backed silver brush into common
use for the hair. At leaat not in
cities where the aoot-laden atmos
phere leaves a coating of itself on :
the hair each day.
This is caught by the.brbtles of j
the brush, which makes it necessa
ry to wash it afc leaat twice a
week, if -not oftener.
, This constant washing ruins a
brush that has an expensive back.
Therefore, a brush should be Died
that has anordinary wooden han
dle and back with good stiff bris
tles to withstand the softening ac
tion of water and borax.
