The Georgia Society of the City
of New York which in composed of
the most praifiincnt Georgians re
siding in that city, held its second
reception and dance of the season
at the Waldorf-Astroria on Fri
day evening, January 29.
The affair was a most enjoyable
one, and was largely attended by
tho members and their guests.
Many notable Georgians were
present.
A number f the younger set of
Georgians now in this city and en
rolled as student* at Columbia
University also joined in the even
ing’s festivities.

This society is doing good work,

The recent dinner tendered
OYSTER ROAST.
Miss Mina and Mr. Will C. Par
ker entertained a few friends at
an Oyster Roast Tuesday evening.
After delightful games and music
the guests were invited into the
yard where oysters were roasted.
Among those, enjoying tho hospi
tality of Miss Parker were Misses

HOSPITAL NOTES.
Mr. Grantham of Jesup who un
fortunately broke his hip several
days ago is improving.
There are now five patients at
the Hospital.
Mrs. Bradford who has been as
sisting with the nursing during the
press of work at the hospital, will
return to her home in Jacksonville
tomorrow.
The many friends of Mrs. Huls-
brush will learn with pleasure that
she is improving from her recent
nttack of fever.*
Mrs. R. W. McCormick has re
turned from a month’s stay in
Brunswick.
