Mr. Helmick thus fortified proposes to

A D bnluble Question.
While much has fieec wiit.eii cm

the question is still ail open m e, slid
demands ol 'lie people a Careful con
sideration. Ttie salient points may
tie b iefly sta ed, and answered as fi t*
lows: Ist—Are tire sick capable ot
determining their real condition, t e
nature ef tim.r malady, and selecting

first proposition, we would say’, diseas

J Second proposition—Many physicians

I cuiiar, and that their tieatment must
| therefore vary, and yet quinine, tuor
i {dune, podophyllic, and hundreds of
other remedies are prem-ribed in all
countries to overcome certain conditions.

Mr. Christopher J. Wilcox, ol Ma

new principle on which the patent is

of the raw that it acts not only as a
saw, but a'so as a plane, and the wood
oil leaving it is in adressed condition,
as if it had passed through a planing

! sets of teeth, three in a set, with what
is known as a clearing tooth in front
and two cutting teeth in the rear, one
herded on tho one side and the oth

PKETIIIII|<r FK riL FAIR
As we liave before staled, Hie Ag
ricultural and Horticultural Society
does not purpose offering premiums
at their fair in May. Premiums are
not the object. The object is to get
up a display of the products of the
county, and it is hoped that the peo
ple will take sufficient interest in the
matter to bring up their products
whether premiums are offered for
them or not. But, in order to get up
a little amusement and excite a fur
ther interest in the matter, a few in
dividuals have offered premiums—
swin- for designated articles, and
some have offered premiums without
stating for what. Where persons
have offered premiums without stat

to assign them. This committee
will act when it has reports from
those appointed to solicit offers. At
present we have a report only
from the Committee from the Town
