We were pleased to meet the Pres
ident, Stcretary and TreaMiroi of ilie
above association in our city on last
isatuidny. They were here to witn3sr
the fair, nnd “talk up” tlmir Fair which
comes ofi on the 21st nnd 22ud inst
They were almost as wet as “drweed
rate” when they arrived, having tid
don from Albany to -Dawson through
a heavy rain. The display at our fair
owing the inclemency of the weather,
of course, was small, but our visiting
friends complimented Terrell county
io the highest terms. They confessed
astonishment at the fine display of
fatrn products and good farm stock.
They ait woiking in earnest for the
first spring fuir of thier association, as
sisted by bll the good cMizena of
Dougherty, and many lrotn other
counties. We have no doubt but
that this fair will be one if tlm best
that has ever been held in the state—'
the managers are walking in a way to
make it so Wo advise all our peo
pie who can do so to attend. It is to
their interest to do so. These big
faira will attract attention to our s< c
tion and create n demand for ovr idle
land and our farm ptoduefs. An
enterpiise of tnis kind successfully
conducted at Albany will benefit our
county utmost as much as it will their
own. Quod premiums ate offered,
and Terrell county must bear off some
ol them.
