On Wednesday last in Harris coun

E-rrly tl.is week they returned to
their hollies in Harris county.
On Wednesday following Miss

the young man had also been show

into a quarrel about their lover anil
during the quarrel Miss Biyant shot

her si veredy if not fatally.
Hie was immediately arrested, and
on Thu’sday had n preliminary exam

After hearing the case the con l l
hound her over nutlet a two thousand
dollar bond to answer the charge of
assault v.ith intent to murder. She
was taken into custody by an officer
and placed at the house of a
neighbor until her bond could be ar
ranged. While thus detained, she
managed, with that shrewdness which
generally characterizes the sox in
great emetgeneies, to make her escape,

about whom the quarrel is supposed
to have originated is also missiu.q it
is supposed that the pair went off
together. We hr.ve purposely omit

supposed to bo involved in this affiir,
