STATE OF GEORGIA—Coon tt of Btjrke. To the Superior Court of said county. The petition of William A. Wilkins, Simeon A Gray. Thomas J. McElraurray, .lames H. Mac kenzie, W. S. Godbee, W. E. Jones, A. G. White- head and S. J. Bell, all of said county, shows that they, together with snch persons as are now, or may be hereafter associated with them, desire to be incorporated for the time of twenty years, with the right of renewal according to law, under the nameof“The Agricultural Association of Burke.” That their place of dolna business is, and will be, in and near Waynesboro, in the county of Burke, said State. The object ot their Association, and the particular kind of business they prom e to carry on is the having of Fail’s, Expositions or Entertainments at such times as they may de sire, and charging for admission to the same for the purpose or profit, and encouraging agri cultural, mechanical and industrial pursuits, the raising of improved stock, the development oi apeed Inman and bea3t, and the instruction and entertainment of the public, at which times pre miums will be offered and paid. The capital stock of said Association to be ton thousand dol lars, of which sum three thousand dollars iu cash ha? been actually paid in. That they may have power to elect their officers, pass by-laws, not inconsistent with the laws of this -State and the United States, and that all the powers common to corporations; as set forth In the Code of Geor gia, may. be conferred upon then and their suo- cessors. Wherefore, they pray that after this, their petition, has been duly filed, recorded and published as required by law, that said Court may pass an order declaring their application granted, and incorporating petitioners accord ing to Statue in such cases made and provided, and petitioners will ever prav, &c.
