and we feel grateful for the fair and impartial manner in which our home people have given
the product an opportunity to prove to them that it is a perfect protection against the
boll weevil when properly applied, and the product is manufactured by us according to Nr.
Hill’s improved formula. And we await the verdict of our home people, believing that this
product has given such manifest results that it will warrant their full commendation.
Gentlemen, you citizens of Burke county are the jury, and we will be pleased to receive
your verdict, feeling that you will award us full and complete justice.

In the manufacture and sale of this product, we have undertaken, and we believe w©
have accomplished what very few people would have tried, which was to win the endorse
ment and confidence for our preparation from our home people, for we fully realized that
we had many obstacles to overcome, personal, financial and political, and our reasons for
opening our campaign here at home, with all of its drawbacks that we as its originators
and manufacturers had, then we could win anywhere on earth that a boll veevil
has ever been known to camp.

We want to especially thank the following well-known citizens of our county for using our prepation and
showing to the public the results obtained: Hon. F. S. Palmer, Nr. E. H. Blount, Dr. J. N. Bynes, Mr. S. Bell and
Mr. J. H. Whitehead; for these gentlemen are so well and favorably known that their endorsement and use of this
preparation is an ample guarantee that it is fully up to the standard as claimed by its originator and the
manufacturers of this product.

The product is being used all over the cotton belt, and it has spread so rapidly and given such perfect results
that the supply of Calcium Arsenate is practically exhausted. But we anticipated these conditions, and we have a
supply on hand sufficient to supply the demands in our home county for the balance of the season, which we will
sell at 33 1-3 cents at our plant, purchaser furnishing his containers, or you can purchase at the Waynesboro Gin
Company at 35 cents per gallon.

We feel that it will be wise to use this preparation on your cotton until September Ist, as it will protect the
young fruit that is forming and will guarantee the preservation of the bolls on your cotton, thereby giving you an
opportunity to make a normal cotton crop.

We that those citizens that h«ve used our preparation as manufactured by us feel that, with proper preparation of their lands for the coming year, and
with the liberal use of the proper fertilizer, that they can produce as much cotton per acre as they did before the advent of the weevil, and this will soon place Burke
county where she once stood, the Banner Cotton County of the Empire State of the South.
• If you need our preparation we are ready to serve y#u at our plant with that scit i*tifically prepared preparation known all over the Cotton Belt
as HILL’S MOLASSES MIXTURE.
